Hi,

Is it possible to connect to an external data source- WITS using EViews 9.5? WITS is a trade database provided by the World Bank for users to query several international trade databases using a username and password. Kindly respond as soon as possible.

It is not built in to EViews 9.5, but it is in EViews 10.

In 10:
If you open the World Bank Database (World Development Indicators) and browse through Topics,
you can find many indicators that are included in the WITS.
For example under Topics : Trade, Economy Growth, Financial Sector you can find indicators like :
( BX-GSR-CCIS-ZS ICT service exports (% of service exports, BoP) BX-GSR-MRCH-CD Goods exports (BoP, current US$), NY-GNP-PCAP-KD-ZG GNI per capita growth (annual %), etc.
