Print output to console or text file

Hello,
new to EViews here, using version 10. I have to debug an algorithm written by a (gone) collegue, I am kind of disappointed with the absence of debugging functionalities, which make it harder to pin point eventual problems. Anyway I have been looking without success for a way to print the output of program or control variables (preceded by "!") to console or a text file.
The control variables which I want to debug are used in "for" or "while" loops.

Take a look at the 'logmode' and 'logmsg' commands.
