Dear all,
I have integrated matlab into eviews. I want eviews to close matlab command line using xclose if matlab command line is already open. Otherwise, skip the command. Could you please help? thanks in advance.
Best,
S

Re: close matlab through eviews if the program is open
I'm not sure what you're asking for.
You can change the type of MATLAB instance that EViews launches via XOPEN by changing the Program ID that is used. If you go to our Options menu/General Options/External program interface dialog, you will see a dropdown for MATLAB that contains any Program IDs found in your registry.
Here's a list of Program IDs (Programmatic Identifiers) available from MATLAB:
https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/m ... hworks.com
The Matlab.Application.Single Prog ID will prevent EViews from re-using any current instance of MATLAB you might have running already. Calling XCLOSE on this will shutdown the dedicated instance and leave yours running as usual.
Be sure to restart EViews and shutdown all instances of MATLAB before trying out any new Prog ID setting.
If this doesn't help with your issue, please describe in detail (with screenshots) of what you're seeing and what you'd like EViews to do.
