Tramo Seats

Postby omerzeybek » Wed Apr 25, 2012 1:14 am

In Turkey central bank seasonally adjusts capacity ultilization rate by using tramo seats technique. Unfortunately they don't publish sub sectors in SA terms. So i have to calculate these sub sectors by using tramo seats. But when i tried to estimate seasonally adjusted series form Tramo Seats dialog screen, i recevied estimated series full of N/A terms. I left exactly 2 years left at the end of actual series for forecast but even i am unable to calculate SA series for my data.

Could yo please help me on this error?

That is not an error. If the procedure does not detect any seasonality, then it simply produces NA values. You can look at the details in the report, which is generated right after the procedure ends running. Please note that, the data begins at 2007 and therefore it may not be enough for the procedure to detect or identify any meaningful seasonality. If you like, you can explicitly model the seasonality via EViews' built-in seasonal dummy codes (e.g. @seas) or try another adjustment procedure (e.g. X12).

Hi
i checked procedure output but as you could see from table i attached bellow it indicates procedure is finalized and seasonal adjustred series are produced. But eviews didn't create a proper (SA) series after the procedure.
