Hi
I want information in an excel file to be available in EViews for example as a txt object or as an EViews table. If you look at the picture below, how can this information best be made available from within EViews? Using commands, how can this best be imported?

Re: Importing table from Excel
Try our IMPORTTBL command. It'll basically allow you to import an Excel, HTML, or Text file into an EViews Table object. You will lose any source formatting such as column width/font/colors/links/etc. EViews will simply keep the text.
With your workfile open, go to our File menu/Import/Table from file..., then select your Excel file. You'll be then be led thru an import wizard to select the data. Make sure you mark each column as character data so EViews doesn't try to convert anything to a number.
Once imported, check your Capture Command window for the generated command.
