Sort command

Postby tvonbrasch » Thu Jan 25, 2018 7:19 am

Hi

I cannot get the sort command to work on the graph called GRAPHG2 in the attached workfile.

If I right click the graph object, press SORT and then choose descending, nothing happens,

The same commands work fine for the graph called _GRAPH.

What is it that I am doing wrong?

The sort command rearranges the x-axis for the graph by observation for a given series. In graph2, since there is only 1 observation per series, there is nothing to sort.

I believe what you want to do is to sort the 6 series using their values at that 1 observation. In other words, you want to reorder the members of the group.

Unfortunately, there isn't a built in way to do what you want. You will have to manually determine the group member order, create the group in that order and then create the graph from that group.
