Data importing problem
Hello, I am trying to import some monthly series from excel ( but with exact dates like 24/02/2015 &17/03/2015) but eviews does not understand the exact date in daily frequency. Instead of 24/02/2015 eviews reads 3/2/2015.

Re: Data importing problem
To clarify something. I want to import the values at the specific dates so to create a series with the value at the date and 0 or NA in the rest days of the month until the next date from cpi and so on. You see my point ?

Re: Data importing problem
I can't really see what's going on from your files.
But the general idea is that you would need to import monthly data into a monthly page, and have a date series on that page containing the actual dates. Then you can copy from that monthly page to the daily page, but not as a frequency conversion, but as a General Match Merge, using the date series from both pages as the matching ID.

These are the values: (monthly)
16/10/2015 0
16/11/2015 0.001
16/12/2015 0.001
I want to create series that will go like: ( in the daily page)
16/11/2015 0.001
18/11/2015 0
19/11/2015 0
20/11/2015 0
until
16/12/2015 0.001
in between, I want to have the value 0
Is this working with general match merge?
16/10/2015 0
16/11/2015 0.001
16/12/2015 0.001
