Pool data with 2 identifiers

Postby Taiku » Mon Mar 27, 2017 3:07 am

Hello,

I have a pool data with 2 cross section identifiers which are id numbers and date series. The nature of my data is 'daily backers data for crowdfunding platforms from 9000 different projects'. So there are about 300,000 data entries (observations) which needs to have a regression run on later. But before that i need to set the data up in a way easier for me to do. But at the moment i am unsure about how to as most instructions online tells me to get each different identifiers individually and import them which would take a long time for 9000 different projects. Is there any easier way for me to enter the data? If so which basic structure would my data follow eg. undated/unstructured etc.

Thank you

I would guess that just opening that file in EViews would do the trick. Well it would give you panel data at least, which is probably what you want.
