Keeping metadata in the database when updating

Postby BigD » Tue Feb 21, 2017 1:23 pm

Hi,

I want to know how to keep the metadata in the database when I store a series into it. The objects from a workfile have a different metadata which overwrites the ones in the database when I choose the overwrite all or merge&overwrite option. I don't want that to happen. Is there a way to not overwrite the database's metadata while updating the objects?

Thanks.

Unfortunately not. You will have to fetch the series first, update your data, and rewrite it back to your database.
