My institution requires graphs to be made with a third-party software. Is it possible to export a graph into spreadsheet form, so it can be graphed externally?
Example: I use panel data and make use of the 'categorical graphs' functionality to simplify the data into three useful aggregates (Local, foreign, and unclassified, over time). The eviews graph is great and shows three time series as desired.
To export the data, I tried using the code:
Code: Select all
But the resulting group only had one time series which could not be used (it is not entirely clear what this did).
As a work-around I've generated series using the @sumsby(,date,producer_type) and @meansby(,date,producer_type) commands and then narrowed the sample to one cross section from each category, then copy-pasted the data into excel.
However, this workaround is not really friendly enough to be more widely adopted for analysis at my institution. Is there a way to export processed graph data to spreadsheet form?
Thanks again for all your help.
