Get series transposed - Automated COM Excel VBA

Postby jfgeli » Tue Sep 20, 2016 3:16 am

Hi there,

I was wondering if there is a way to get a group of series presented in row formatfrom an Eviews Workfile or EDB to Excel, using the Automated COM. I went through the white paper published in your website and it seems that is possible by using the GetGroupEx function, by using the transposse function. I have only managed to get a column with all the headers but the data is still being extracted by rows. Could you please give me a brief example of how to do that?

Cheers,

Fede

I just found a workaround...to transpose the output from GetGroupEx directly in VBA. Is there any better solution?

That's probably your best bet. Though once you have the data from any of our Get methods, it's easy to transpose the data manually or have Excel do it for you -- I'm guessing there's a lot of tranpose options within Excel.
