Hello,
I am running a BVAR for 5 endogenous and 3 exogenous plus a constant.
FOR !i=1 200
SMPL %startestim %endestim_m
BVAR(m=VAR2_!i, prior=0) 6 mom_deuipi_!i mom_deumci_!i mom_deuipic_!i mom_deuindord_!i mom_deuexports_!i @ C mom_deushp d_deuirl d_deu_bus_constr
NEXT
I get the following estimation for the constant (C appears twice):
C=-0.00000578 for mom_deuipi_!i
C=-0.001196
The equation in the model for variable mom_deuipi_!i is created as follows:
mom_deuipi_60 = - 0.189940673 * mom_deuipi_60(-1) - 0.0452576469 * mom_deuipi_60(-2) - 0.1162550122 * mom_deuipi_60(-3) + 0.07128750552 * mom_deuipi_60(-4) - 0.0486740239 * mom_deuipi_60(-5) - 0.02268930942 * mom_deuipi_60(-6) + 0.1940897162 * mom_deumci_60(-1) - 0.07494709471 * mom_deumci_60(-2) - 0.06668285723 * mom_deumci_60(-3) - 0.1547939071 * mom_deumci_60(-4) - 0.04553562227 * mom_deumci_60(-5) + 0.04170433171 * mom_deumci_60(-6) + 0.00795140885 * mom_deuipic_60(-1) + 0.003574638805 * mom_deuipic_60(-2) - 0.01126487709 * mom_deuipic_60(-3) - 0.06164555765 * mom_deuipic_60(-4) - 0.04034818203 * mom_deuipic_60(-5) + 0.005179334975 * mom_deuipic_60(-6) - 0.009991173373 * mom_deuindord_60(-1) + 0.2038218039 * mom_deuindord_60(-2) + 0.09763369221 * mom_deuindord_60(-3) + 0.03955944466 * mom_deuindord_60(-4) + 0.03281702458 * mom_deuindord_60(-5) + 0.01737723862 * mom_deuindord_60(-6) + 0.03570518259 * mom_deuexports_60(-1) + 0.05984781274 * mom_deuexports_60(-2) + 0.01506460427 * mom_deuexports_60(-3) + 0.02273478864 * mom_deuexports_60(-4) - 0.02985300811 * mom_deuexports_60(-5) + 0.0863857198 * mom_deuexports_60(-6) - 0.001196489985 * - 5.781743786e-06 * mom_deushp + 1.219269726e-06 * d_deuirl - 3.858263316e-05 * d_deu_bus_constr - 8.619946389e-05
Here you can see the constant with value -0.001196 appears followed by a "*" and then a "-"
I can not see in the equation the other C but at the end of the equation there is another value for a constant,
Could you please help me with this?
Thanks and regards,
Gloria

What happens if you drop C from your specification?
