License manager crashes everyday

License manager crashes everyday

The EViews license manager application and service crashes every morning on our license server. The server is running Windows Server 2003 R2. Below are the application and System logs. Seems like the application crashes and the service stops as a result. I have configured the service to restart after the crash. And, it does is successfully every time.

Dear Steve,

We are facing the same problem in our univesity.
Eviews service stops with the same error codes.
This is started on middle of August.
At the begining it was happening every two weeks.
But now, it happens every two or three days.
Did you find any solution for this issue?

I'm pretty sure that it has something to do with changes in security permissions in regards to the license.txt files that the License Manager is storing in it's own directory. A simple re-install of the license manager service will fix it. However, if you're willing, please email me directly at steve@eviews.com and I'll send you a debug version that we can use to confirm what is going on on your server. That'll help us figure out what exactly changed...
