Hi Gareth !

At the present time, we have two site license for Eviews 6 (10 and 100 concurrent users). We received an upgrade for EViews7... but were is License Manager CD ? Can we use the old one (Eviews6 License Manager CD) ? And have we to uninstall Eviews 6 prior to Eviews 7 installation ?

You should have additionally received a license manager CD as well. Please contact your distributor or sales and let them know of the missing CD.

You cannot use the EViews 6 license manager to host EViews 7 licenses. The EViews 7 license manager is required.

The EViews 7 license manager installer checks for existing license managers and will replace older versions if necessary.

is it possible to connect with the old clients (6) to the new license server (7)?

Otherwise we would have to run two servers for a certain time. Please let me know.

Why won't my dvd rom show up under my computer? I think this has something to do with the dvd rom itself, but, sometimes it doesn't work. It doesn't show up under my computer, the button won't open it, and it won't read my disks. It only works sometimes. Restarting the computer doesn't work. And sometimes it will open, but it won't show up under my computer or read disk. What is wrong with it? Do I need to replace it? This is on a laptop.

Sounds like you have a bad CDROM. Contact your distributor for a replacement or contact support@eviews.com with your serial number for download options.
