Hi all, I am beginner of using panel data. So, I don't know what kind of data that we should use to perform in Eviews 6.0: Stacked or unstacked. Could you please help to advise and share your experience.........Thank you so much!!!!

Hi Gareth, thank you very much for your help. This link seems good to me. Now, I know what I should choose for my essay. However, I still have some queries as follows:

- How can we know our data comply with fixed or random effects, cross section fixed effect, weighed or unweighted. Which test should be done to clarify it.
- If we use panel workfile, how can we determine whether time effects to our variables. I mean that, if we only have two years (exp: 2005 and 2006) , it will be easy to use dummy variable (such as dummy = 1 if year = 2005; dummy =0 if year = 2006). Unfortunately, if we have many years (for example year 2005 to 2009). How can we define for dummy variable in this case?

Thank you very much for you sharing and instruction.
