Print screen active window

In most Windows programs it is possible to take a screenshot of only the active window by pressing Alt+Print Screen on the keyboard. However, in EViews the entire program window is copied (and not only, say, the active workfile). Is there some other way to achieve this? Apart from cropping the copied image manually, that is.

It seems that some windows can be copied, while others cannot. It seems that those windows which can be placed outside the boundaries of the main EViews window are perceived as active by Windows. However, those windows that cannot be moved outside the main EViews window are not perceived as active by Windows.

Is there some reason for this behavior? It would be nice if all windows could be moved outside of the EViews window (and also, to connect to my first query, be copied by Alt+Print Screen).

That's just the way that certain programs work in Windows.
