Dependency graph view

The new tool for viewing the dependency graph in a model is great, and very useful.
I am wondering if it would be possible to fix the layout of a model, so that when adding/removing one or more equations it is possible to visualize the differences.

Hello,

That's certainly a possibility for the future, another good idea to add to the wish list we've collected thus far.

Thank you for your reply!
I guess that, when ADDING equations, the graph inevitably becomes much more complex, and it may not be feasible to keep a layout. However, when DROPPING equations, keeping the layout should be relatively simple.

Would also be helpful to be able to select a node and see all its connections in isolation from the rest of the model (is that already possible?).

At the moment, the closest feature is the visual highlight of a node and its connections when you mouse over the node. You could always copy the equation for a node into a new model and visualize that new model, but nothing as easy as just a click or two. In future, there may be tools for selecting/filtering/coloring the display at the node/equation level, which could support what you desire.
