Finding the type of equation by searching for a variable in a model

Postby rmitchell » Thu Nov 30, 2017 2:54 pm

I'm an EViews 10 user and I work on quite a large model with many stochastic and identity equations

Does anyone know a way, either by programming or via already existing EViews commands, to easily search for a variable in a large model and have the type of equation (i.e. stochastic or identity) pop up?

I'm aware that one can open the model, view the variables and then right click to view the properties of a variable and then within the Equation tab figure out what kind of equation it is, but I'm trying to find something much faster and less convoluted.

If anyone has ideas, it would be much appreciated!

I think I'd use the text view, or the print view, then use the Find button to find the variable.
