Eviews 7SV Installs but won't run on El Capitan

Hello,
I am about to start my senior econometrics class and it requires this software. I successfully installed it but once I click on it to begin running, it fails and never opens. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Do the new student versions work on this firmware? Help please!!!!
