I use EViews 9. When I opened it this morning my command window had disappeared; no way to type in and submit commands. I can't find a way to change the settings to restore the command window. I am having to get by with typing commands into a program window and running the program for every command. Please help!

Make sure your copy is up to date, then use Window->Reset Window Layout.
