Eviews running on OS X El Capitan

I've just installed Eviews 9 Student edition lite on a Mac running OS X 10.11 El Capitan and I read that Eviews just wouldn't work on it. How much time will I have to wait until the bug is fixed and Eviews running correctly?
Thanks for the information.

A new version of the Student Version for Mac is now available.

A full re-install will be required. You will need to drag your current copy of EViews 9 Student version to your trash folder and then reinstall the latest version.

Please refer to your confirmation email containing your serial number for the download link.

I accidentally bought student version 8 instead of version 9. I assumed that upgrades were free..

Will I be able to run Eviews v. 8 on OS X El Capitan ?

Is it possible to change version to 9 ?

best regards
Kristian

I must say, I dont understand the concept of selling an old version of the same program for the same price.... without possibility of an upgrade (?!?)

but well.. I cant seem to find the El Capitan version for student version 8. is it up yet?

In some cases, professors have told us that they want everyone in a class to use a specific version of the software (to match textbooks, class notes, etc.), even if a newer is available. To accommodate, we usually offer the current and one older version of the Student Version, though we try to phase the latter out as early as practical.

We only sell the current version of the standard EViews software.
