I am curious about the version of Eviews I should install. I am a PhD student and doing VAR coefficient diagnostic; my adviser instructed me to use Omitted variables likelihood ratio test (besides Wald test). I tried to do that on my friends computer and failed to do so, Wald test is the only one he has (he has Eviews 7, student version, I suppose). So my question is which version of Eviews 8 should I get in order to have Omitted (and Redundant) variables likelihood test?
Thanks!

Re: Eviews 8 version?
btw, does this mean that version 7 does not include the test? Or was I not able to find it?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Eviews 8 version?
They're not available for system estimation. Only certain single equation estimation (depending on the estimation method).

So I will not be able to do the test in version 8 as well? Is there an alternative?
