Hi,
I am returning to Eviews after a long gap, because it is in use at a college I teach in. At the computer I have been given to work on, both Eviews 5.0 & 6.0 are installed (we are way behind the times here!). For the time being, I have to work with either of these versions, and version 5.0 has to stay, because some users are not comfortable with version 6.0 (mainly because of its odd Help system).
But I notice that while Eviews 5.0 works ok, there are strange problems with Version 6.0, such as the program hanging suddenly. Is it possible to use both versions on the same computer? If so, what is the proper way to install them- do they need to be in different disk partitions etc?
Sorry if this sounds silly, or has been answered earlier!
Thanks!
Using both versions of Eviews on same Windows system?

Sounds like you have the proper way to install them. They can sit side by side without any issues.
Make sure you have the latest patches installed for EViews 6.
