"Get Data" in Excel Add-In with EViews (64bit) 10 not working

Postby pwei » Wed Nov 29, 2017 12:40 am

Hi all,

we have upgraded recently to EViews 10 (64bit) Standard Edition (Perpetual, Windows) and are getting the following message in the Excel Add-In:
Unable to obtain license: licensing has not been configured on this machine

Can someone please advise how we can fix this error?

Thank you very much and kind regards,
Peter

Two things to check:

1. Make sure you have the latest EViews 10 patch installed.

2. Run EViews and type in the command "REGCOMPONENTS" then click the "Yes(All)" button to perform a complete re-registration.

If you still run into this issue, then it's likely a previous 32-bit EViews installation that has been removed that is causing the issue. To resolve this, either install EViews 10 32-bit (which you can do with the same serial on the same machine) or download the following zip file and run the contained REG file (just double-click it) to clear your registration of all previous EViews registrations -- then re-do step 2 above to re-register everything. Restart Excel and try the add-in again.

Hi Steve,

with your .reg file and execution off "REGCOMPONENTS" ("Yes(All)") we could solve the issue.

Thank you very much for your help.

Kind regards,
Peter
