Re: Unable to install add-ins
You could also try running the command "REASSOCIATE" inside of EViews to associate the AIPZ extension and UOPZ extension with EViews. Once done, try double-clicking the downloaded AIPZ file to see if starts the install process.

Re: Eviews launch options
Danny: Make sure you test your command line options with a Windows shortcut to the EViews executable first before trying to call it from Python. The /programonly option should work for you, but you may need to update your copy of EViews 9 to the latest version. Go to our eviews.com/download page to ...

Re: Eviews launch options
I assume you are trying to run an EViews program when you launch it? Try this: "C:\Program Files\EViews 9\EViews9_x64.exe" "c:\files\my.prg" /programonly The "/programonly" option only works with EViews 9 and it will automatically shutdown EViews at the end of the progr...

Re: Launch E-Views via C#; submit .prg file
From C# (or any .NET programming language) you can simply run the EViews executable and pass the path to your PRG file as a parameter, like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\EViews 9\EViews9.exe" "c:\files\my.prg" This example launches EViews 9 32-bit and automatically runs the speci...

Re: Unsupported Source Format
This was a bug introduced by the latest patch (meant to fix path with space problems with IMPORTTBL and IMPORTMAT). It'll be fixed in the next one. In the interim, if you'd like to rollback to the previous version, you can download one of these manually and install it so you can get IMPORTTBL workin...

Re: Silent Installation and Silent Registration
I should've mentioned that the registerlicense switch was only added to EViews 8 & 9. It won't work for EViews 7 and older. Here's a screenshot of what the command looks like when I run it: RegisterLicense.png (obviously, you'll have to provide your actual serial number here) If you still have i...

Re: New IP address for our Registration site
No I don't believe it has anything to do with that. You still cannot run EViews on Linux via Wine (if that's what you're referring to). You should have no issues running it on a Windows VM running on Linux, however.

Registration site has moved to a new IP address
On October 21, 2015, we had to move our registration site to a new web server at a different IP address. If your EViews License server has had trouble perform automatic updates since that date, please go to this topic for more details.

New IP address for our Registration site
We recently had to move our registration site to a new web server. As a result, the http://register1.eviews.com and http://register2.eviews.com URLs now point to IP address: 170.207.226.96. If your EViews license server has been running since before October 21, 2015 (the day we moved web servers), y...

Silent Installation and Silent Registration
We've had this question come up a lot so I thought I would put all of our techniques for doing a silent installation and registration of EViews into a single topic. Note: This post was recently updated for EViews 13, but the instructions also work for other versions of EViews. Simply replace the nam...
