You can exclude a variable from your model, which effectively turns it from an endogenous variable into an exogenous.
To that, click on the Variables button, then right click on the variable you want to exclude, hit properties, and then change the "Scenario Excludes" option.

Re: maximum likelihood estimation
You could write a program that loops through different values of starting values before estimation. Keeping track of which estimations "worked" and which didn't would be tricky though.

Re: Mixed Data Sampling "Near Singular Matrix"
You've probably got perfectly collinear regressors. Obviously it is pretty difficult to diagnose what is causing the collinearity with such a large set of regressors.

Re: Annual Cross-Sectional Logit Regression
If you're not doing panel analysis (and your post seems to indicate you're not), then there is no need to create a panel workfile. Creating a page for each year is perfectly fine, so I think you're doing the right thing.

I don't think that's enough information.
If I open that group, then click on View->Graph, change the graph type to Area and select Stacked, I get the following:

Re: There's a display problem with bar graphs
Pamela is the graph expert, but she is not in today. However I'm not sure she'll understand, yet, what you have done. In that last workfile you posted, could you explain what you have done to create both the graphs? I'm not sure I understand what "The groups of each graph group01 area graph gro...

Re: Importing date from excel spreadsheet
You're probably better off either just opening the Excel file: wfopen "C:\Documents and Settings\.....\VAR Micro.xls" Range="uf" Or creating the workfile and then importing the file: wfcreate(wf=VAR, page=inflation) u 2522 import "C:\Documents and Settings\.....\VAR Micro.xl...

Re: Importing date from excel spreadsheet
If you're just importing the Excel sheet into a page, EViews should automatically recognise them as being Excel dates and do the conversion for you.
How are you doing the import?
