Re: Importing data problem

The IMPORT command will actually support reading from a workfile, like you found. But currently it is limited to only reading in objects on the first page (or maybe default page?) of the workfile. So if there were objects on other pages, you wouldn't be able to get those. We should probably modify I...

What is the build date? Is this 32-bit or 64-bit?

Yes but only if it’s not already there.

Re: Importing/joining data without headers

I downloaded the sample acquisition file from the Fannie Mae site and tried to import it the way you wanted. I made the following assumptions: 1. You are importing your data into an undated workfile. 2. Each of your files have the same number of columns. First, here's a program I wrote to import the...

Re: Copying data from Workfile into Excel file by row

Actually, that number is the date. It's just in the wrong format. If you select those cells and change the cell display format to Date, you'll see the correct years.

Re: Problems with com server after 9.5 upgrade

Ok we released a new patch for this. You won't detect it from within EViews 9 (unless you rolled it back to a previous patch), but you can manually download and install it from here or from our download page. 32-bit: http://cdn2.eviews.com/EViews9Patch_021418.exe 64-bit: http://cdn2.eviews.com/EView...

Re: Problems with com server after 9.5 upgrade

Mike: Thanks for the bug report. We found the problem and this will be fixed in the next 9.5 patch. We'll try to release it soon. In the meantime, if you'd like to revert back to the previous version, you can download this previous patch and install it manually. 32-bit: http://cdn2.eviews.com/EViews...

Re: Re-organizing imported data

I'm sorry but you're going to have to provide more details. Did you at least get the import working successfully? If not, what errors did you encounter? Did you try renaming the columns during the import wizard (there's a Rename Series button on the last or penultimate page of the Import wizard)? If...

Re: EViews 9.0 Type Library does not seem to be working

Did you uninstall 9 when you installed 10? Also, is your 10 installation 64-bit while the 9 was 32-bit (or vice-versa)? If so, you may need to clean your registry of all previous EViews COM settings. Your Office installation is probably 32-bit and the older 32-bit registry settings for EViews COM do...

Re: Register Components

There were some surprising findings from this issue that I'd like to share with anyone trying to run EViews from a network file share. When you run REGCOMPONENTS from within EViews that is running from a network folder, our external .NET EDX database libraries are not getting registered properly due...

Re: Register Components

"This feature requires EViews 9.5" is a bug on our part. It will be fixed in the next EViews 10 patch, sometime this week. As to why you're getting unregistered components after a register all, make sure you have all EViews 10 subfolders in your network file share as a lot of the component...

Re: Register Components

Many of our customers run EViews from a network file share especially when using a concurrent server license. Also, the appearance of the Register Components dialog is not licensing related - this check happens for all license types. The Register Components dialog was designed for exactly this type ...
