25th and 75th data percentile
Hello everyone. I need to report (for several variables) descriptive stats such as mean, st dev, min, p25%, median, p75%, and max. I know that I can click on Histogram and stats to get all these values except fot p25% and p75%. How do I find the 25th and the 75% percentile for given series? I will a...

Re: Simple mean test by category
I'm not sure either we are on the same page. A simple hypothesis test allows me to test whether the mean of the entire population is equal to, say, zero - t stats with probability is produced in this test. But what if I need to perform the same mean test for 25 sub samples from this population - sep...

Re: Simple mean test by category
That's right but then how can I test that each of those 25 monthly means is statistically different from zero? My original question was more about how to perform a simple mean equality test for each month...

Simple mean test by category
Hello everyone Please help with the following, should be a simple program but I do not do any programming with Eviews. For the data series called Ret collected over 25-month period, I need to perform a simple hypothesis test that the mean Ret for each month is not equal to zero. So 25 separate mean ...

Re: Phillips-Ouliaris test for cointegration
Thank you for helping with the test. So, in case the first line of the output rejects the null and the second line of the output does not reject the null, how shall I interpret the results? Shall I say, series are not cointegrated? Or shall I say, one series lead the relationship and the other serie...

Phillips-Ouliaris test for cointegration
Hi guys I am looking for assistance with the Phiilips-Ouilaris test for cointegration of two series. I selected the series as a group, then specified the P-O test option, and here is the output: Date: 12/09/12 Time: 10:56 Series: RETHOME RETGDR Sample (adjusted): 1 7258 Included observations: 7258 a...

Re: Test of difference in R-squared
Hello again
I realized i might need to perform the Cramer's test, since I estimate the same model but for two different samples. Does anyone know how to model the Cramer's stats in Eviews? Thanks a lot.

Test of difference in R-squared
Hello guys, I am estimating two regressions, for which independent and dependent variables are the same, except for the sample compositions and the time periods are different. Is there any way I could perform test of difference in adjusted R-squared for such regressions? Either manually or in Eviews...
