Re: Calling % sign instead of using it as a string variable

Doesnt work for me. Must have changed an option. Last updated: 11/27/15 - 20:21 Modified: 1 100 // a = "100" Modified: 1 100 // a = @replace(a, "", "percent") percentpercentpercentpercentpercentpercentpercentpercentpercentpercentpercentpercentpercentpercentpercentpercen...

Calling % sign instead of using it as a string variable

I want to replace % in alpha series. However, when i replace it with the line: alphaseries = @replace(alphaseries, "%","percent") when I run the program, I think EViews interprets it as a string variable and the series window shows the replacement line as: Modified: 1 252701 => a...

Re: New IP address for our Registration site

For some reason I thought the machine ID problem was also affecting VMs. I'll do some benchmark profiling and post some results on the overheads/efficiency over the next few days maybe.

Re: New IP address for our Registration site

Any chance this revolves the longstanding issue with Linux distros failing to authenticate with the license server? Or is this still confined to an inability to collect machine IDs correctly?

Re: FRED/ALFRED series attributes question

Thanks Jason - that is very comprehensive, and really appreciated. I'm writing scripts to scrape and utilize all series dynamically, so these definitions are really integral. Many thanks again!

Re: FRED/ALFRED series attributes question

Ah - sorry to spam. I meant to mention this earlier: the label attribute names appear to be a bit different: is there any documentation about this? For example, compare: { "realtime_start": "2013-08-14", "realtime_end": "2013-08-14", "seriess": [ { &...

Re: FRED/ALFRED series attributes question

That is absolutely perfect. One last question: Is the structure of the label the same for every series - i.e. will every series have identical attributes, regardless of its characteristics/entries in FRED?

FRED/ALFRED series attributes question

Dear all, I really like the new fred/alfred integration, and I made extensive use of the EV8 version. It makes life a lot easier than using the fredapi wrapper in python directly. This becomes even more true when you want to obtain a series at a given date (e.g. the @ suffix) in copy fred::gdpdef@20...

contract a page with uniquevals?

Can somebody help me speed up the following code snippet? I want to pagecontract to leave only unique values. However, I cant figure out how to use @uniquevals effectively, and this loop is dragging as there are millions of observations in the workfile. The intention is to drop all observations whic...

Re: autosave .prg on execute

Reason: People might neglect the fact that EViews isnt committing changes (like I do) because other languages which they might program in do commit changes. Argument 1.) This leads to poor version control in general. Argument 2.) When you bluescreen, or client crash from generally undiagnosed bugs, ...
