Re: Problem using @first and @last in setting the sample

You’re referring to the documentation for the @last data member when using the @last function.

Try:

Code: Select all

=gdpyoy.@last

Re: series attribute by number

There isn’t really an order to them, so numbers isn’t great.

A list of attributes is possible, but it would really be on a workfile basis, and then individual objects would have blanks if they didn’t have an entry for that attribute.

We could also do it on an object basis, I suppose.

Re: dupplicate view of group makes EVIEWS crash (at list with large datasets)

No crash for me (although I'm using a more up to date version than you).

Are you using 32bit or 64bit?

Re: @recode not working properly

Not really a bug - EViews is supposed to error/warn when you create a series that generates NAs. The series is still created.

Re: MIDAS RMSE

I see what you're saying. But when you use the built in forecast from a MIDAS equation, it doesn't do the re-specification, estimation and forecast for the new data, it uses whatever the original specification was. You'll need to roll the estimation, specification and forecast in a loop. I believe o...

Re: MIDAS RMSE

No, with MIDAS you get one forecast for every observation of Y.

Don't understand this question.

MIDAS produces a single forecast.

Re: Support for PX-Web API databases

In the Open -> Database menu I would like to have support for PX-Web API databases. PX-Web databases are quite common these days, used by eg Statistics Sweden, Statistics Finland, Statistics Norway, statistics Greenland, Basque Statistics, Armenian National institute of health, and many many others...
