Re: sorting series in groups

You can change the order of series by pressing the 'view' button in the group window and selecting 'group members'. After resorting the series names, select the 'view' button again and choose 'spreadsheet' to get back to the table view.

Re: Printing spool object

Unfortunately the ability to print a spool in landscape is not available. One possible solution is to extract each object, one at a time, from the spool and then print each object in landscape.

Re: Naming objects in a loop using spool.append.

There is an error in the User Guide. The 'append' command does not have a 'name=' option. So you will need to use the 'name' command after the 'append' command. Replace: graph_m.append(name=%name) {%name}.line with graph_m.append {%name}.line !j = graph_m.@count graph_m.name !j %name

Re: Accessing "Print Setup" from a program

Re: reading database directly from a website

You may import data directly into EVIews via some of Global Insights historical products (DRIPro, DRIBase, DRI DDS). You should speak with your Global Insight representative and verify if any of the above products contain the data you are interested in and is still supported. If a supported product ...

Re: Setting up new license server

You may be able to run on a SUN system via a Windows emulator, if one is available. I also cannot guarantee it will run properly for we have not heard of anyone else with this particular setup nor have we tested it. Keep in mind, if one is available and the license manager is capable of running with...

The old license server will need to be unregistered and that will need to be done by QMS. Please contact support@eviews.com for more information.

The installation software is only available via CD.

Re: Connectivity - Lost heart beat

When using a concurrent use license, EViews must maintain constant communication with the license server. As part of maintaining communication, EViews sends 'heartbeats' to the server, indicating EView is still running and therefore still using a license. If the either the network, server, or client...

Re: rtf keep together

Are you referring to when pasting a table larger than a page (in Word), Word will page break the table and therefore you will get multiple pages? If so, is the desired behavior then to shrink the font such that the entire table is on one page?

Re: Smoothing xllines

If you are referring to the antialiasing of graph lines, this feature will be available in EViews 7. Please note this will effect graph appearance on the screen and some output file formats such as jpg and png but not all representations such as when printing to a printer.
