Copy only a given type of object

Hi,

I have a page with many different objects types(scalars, series, samples, etc). Is it possible to copy only ALL series to a different page? I only know, I could do copy page1\* page2\*.I do not know in advance which is the name of the series.

Thanks,

Fede

Re: Find/Delete or Replace an equation in model's text form?

Hi, I am trying to replace an equation in my model with the replace command but somehow it does not work. The model is called mod_01 so I do mod_01.replace c = a + b +c . I am using Eviews 7.2 but I could not find the documentation in the command reference. Could you please show me with an example h...

Re: IF condition inside the model

Sorry, the most important question. Is it possible to ADD AN IF STATEMENT INSIDE A MODEL?
I have Eviews 7.29

IF condition inside the model

Hi there, I need to solve a simple model like a=b+c. I need to solve the model as of t+1 but for series b I want Eviews to use the original values (let's say until t+3 and then use a formula like b=a(-1)*0.5. The only way I could think of this is to solve the model with a loop for each t. First I ca...

Check if a database exists

Hi there, I am creating a routine to update a database. However, I want the routine to check if the database exists first. If the database exists, it will need to create it and if the database does not exist, only to update its content. My problem is that I do not know how to test before hand if the...

Re: FAME local database access error

Hi there, A year later I come with the same question because I have a similar issue now. I have a FAME db file in my windows pc and I have a local version of Eviews. Is it not possible just to read from this file without having installed FAME in my computer? I thought that the library you mentioned ...

:(

I'll have to change the whole estimation strategy then...

Many thanks!

Impose coefficient restrictions in uncontrained VAR

Hi there, I want to impose a linear restriction (lets say c(1) = 0) in one of the coefficients of an unrestricted VAR which I am estimating in a model. Is there a way to append (is that the command) the restriction inside the model and then estimate the coefficient? If so, could you give me a short ...

copy all objects in a page to another workfile

Hi, I need to create a subroutine that should copy all the series, groups, etc in one page in a given workfile into another workfile. I have tried something like: cd "path....." ... %source_workfile = "bla_bla" %destination_workfile= "bla_bla_2" copy(overwrite) {%source...

Re: how can I retrieve the last obersation of a series

Hi, I have similar problem that I cannot solve. I have a series which contains NAs and 1s. For example: NA NA NA 1 NA 1 1 NA NA I would like to fill with 1s the series with 1s from the first observation including NA until the last 1s so I will get something like: 1 1 1 1 1 1 NA NA I have tried somet...

Re: FAME local database access error

Hi, thanks for your reply. I have installed FAME in a UNIX platform and Eviews in a Windows one. Both environments are connected via an internal FTP. From your reply I assume that I would need FAME to be installed in a windows environment (because Eviews is there) in order to be able to access the d...
