Re: What's the eviews equivalent of Excel's countif?

You certainly can, but look at the @replace function which might be easier.

Re: What's the eviews equivalent of Excel's countif?

Not sure, but are you sure that X is a series as opposed to a vector or matrix?

In EViews, the dependent variable goes first.

Re: EPS figures in LATEX - something wrong with fonts

The issue may be which fonts are used in the eps and whether they are embedded in the LaTex document. You might check to see if you can adjust LaTex to be sure it's including the fonts coming out of EViews.

Re: Comparing coefficients accross regressions

Object/New object/System

opens a system object. Look at the help system for info on how to enter the equations in that object.

Re: export date before 1900

You could write out earlier dates as text, although I guess I can see where that could lead to confusion.

export date before 1900

Odd bug. Do export to file on a series and select .xlsx Dates before 1900 are exported as #N/A

Re: SUR with different sample

smpl 1 100
series x1 = x
smpl 101 200
series x2 = x
smpl @all

y = c(1) + c(2)*x1
y = c(3) + c(4)*x2

Re: SUR with different sample

Copy x into x1 for the first sample, leaving NA elsewhere. Then the same for x into x2 for the second sample.

Note that all that's really going on is a fancy way of doing least squares on each equation.
