I got the error that I have reached the maximum amount of observations per series. In the error it was mentioned that I could manually adjust the limit to a maximum of 15 million, but unfortunately I have series that have up to 25 million datapoints. You're right, apparently it wasn't as difficult as I thought it was. I downloaded a small part of the data from OptionMetrics (via WRDS) and by playing around a little, I was able to figure it out.
