in ver 9.5
on a panel setup, I am not able to change the range and sample without creating a new file. Have tried clicking on them but it sets up as @first and @last and I couldn't change the dates.
Is there an easy way to modify these?
Thanks.

pool or panel setup
Using v9.5. Sorry to bother but having trouble setting data structure, even after reading EViews illustrated. Don't know if pooled or panel structure is best, and would assume fixed effects. I have 20 indexed observations with rank 1 = 100 and rank 20 declining toward zero. I have such a series of 2...

Re: chart resolution + pie charts+custom line width
On pie charts, would like something comparable to what's long been available on Excel 2003/2007.
Online charts, would be nice to have custom line width option instead of only 3/4 pt, 1.0pt, 1.5 pt, etc. Often like something in betweem.
Will try png format for higher resolution.
Thanks.

chart resolution + pie charts+custom line width
Am in v9.5.
Was wondering if new versions have better screen and print graph resolution. Images of charts remain a bit blurry.
Would still welcome better pie chart making options.
Also would welcome custom line width option in line graphs
thanks.

graph scale alignment
Using v9.5
Is there a way to align right scale and left scale data labels so that tick marks fall on grid line for both right and left.
See attached file and mzmsep17 graph. Suggestions welcomed.

compute stdev in series up to NA
Would like to compute stdev of a series but later row entries are filled with "NA".
I set scalar stan
am using stan=@stdev (ser01)
What's best way to compute this without including "NAs" at end of series.
Thanks.

Yes, using matrix called "results". Thanks for suggestion. Will try later today.

Re: changing obs label from numbers to dates
My graph output is in attached .wf1
Hope you can open it.
Only thing I can't figure out is how to change to observation dates.
Thanks.

changing obs label from numbers to dates
v9.5 Got a graph that generates line correctly, but there are 17,000 daily data points on x-axis. Having trouble changing the point numbers into observation dates. Have done this before, but somehow cannot get this to work now. What would be the best way to convert to dates. Data runs from Jan 3, 19...

using v.9.5
for adjusted r-square what is the instruction? is it a-r2
Also, hoping you can get pie charts into graphing on new v10.

extracting r-square from table
Sorry to bother on simple programming question.
On OLS results table, what is best way to extract R-squared output and put it in a results matrix. I tried results (1,1) =eq1.ls @cor
but this didn't work.
Thanks.

graph scale alterations/adjustments
For graphs needing both left and right data scales, it seems difficult/impossible to change the scaling easily. This is especially frustrating when trying to use grid lines from left to align with scale on the right. It would be an improvement to make this possible. All of this functionality can be ...
