Re: Where are custom colors stored ? How to change them ?

They are stored in your EViews INI/settings file. Unfortunately the values for the custom colors in the INI file are not easily decipherable. You will have to use the color dialog. How are you planning on using the custom colors? If you are running program, there should be a command to set the color...

Re: Appending date ids - possible?

Actually the entire file being a single line is not the issue (I incorrectly told Gareth this). There are incorrect and missing tag in the worksheet.xml files. For example the data ranges for each sheet were incorrect and the column range for each row were also not to spec. If you like, you can have...

Re: Appending date ids - possible?

The xlsx file was not created by Excel and parts of it does not match the expected format.

If you resave the hb1-daily.xlsx file using Excel, EViews will read the file correctly.

Re: wfsave does not correctly update .xlsx files

Can you verify if your copy of Excel 2010 is up to date? Open any Office 2010 application, such as Word 2010 and create a document. Go to File > Help > Check for Updates. Choose Install Updates or Check for Updates. If neither option is available, follow the additional steps provided in the pop-up w...

Re: wfsave does not correctly update .xlsx files

What version of Excel are you using?

Is excel running at the time you run your EViews program?

Please try running your EViews program but shut down any or all copies of Excel. Did this make a difference?

If you remove the 'byrow' option, does all the data appear?

Re: Three bugs in one

A. That error is meant to inform you that the title you added to the residual graph in the equation window (prior to freezing) will be lost. This should appear when the view on the equation has been changed or if the equation is closed. Of course this doesn't happen when I try to replicate the issue...

Re: Live stat - percentage change

Unfortunately our spreadsheets do not support non-sequential selections. You will have to continue manually performing the calculation.

Re: addarrow - labelpos option not working properly

That is by design. For horizontal arrows, 'vert' is ambiguous. Use 'A' or 'B'. And for vertical arrows use 'L' or 'R'. wfcreate a 2000 2010 series x=nrnd graph mygr.line x mygr.addarrow pos(0,3.4, 0.5, 3.4) label(Vert) labelpos(A) mygr.addarrow pos(2,3.4, 2.5, 3.4) label(Horz) labelpos(B) show mygr

Re: Smpl - series

The settings in the global options dialog determine how new series are opened.

If you already have a preexisting series use the SMPL+/- button in the series button bar. This will toggle the view to use/not use the sample.

Re: Macrobond - importing labels

Just to be clear, you can specify the frequency conversion method to be used during the fetch using the 'c=' option. See http://www.eviews.com/help/helpintro.html#page/content%2Fcommandcmd-fetch.html for more details. This will change values of the series in the workfile. If you change the frequency...
