Re: Bloomberg API

EViews will download the entire series and then perform a match merge on the series into your workfile.

This shouldn't hurt their server performance. It's number of fetch calls that would have a greater effect on their servers than what is being fetched.

This may be intentional. We will take a look and post back what we find in the next few days.

Re: extract from spool without pop-ups?

The patch containing the fix has been released. For future versions of EViews 11 and on the default will be to not show the extracted object. For EViews 10, however, you can now use the hide option. For example, myspool.extract(hide, obj1) untitled01 'this will prevent the newly created object obj1 ...

Re: extract from spool without pop-ups?

We are working on adding an optional command that will stop the window from appearing. As soon as it makes the next patch, we will post the syntax.

Re: extract from spool without pop-ups?

I am not seeing the pop-up. What are you attempting to extract? Is it equation output, a spreadsheet, or other?

Secondly, what is being asked in the pop-up?

OR.....

Do you want to keep the newly created object from being displayed?

Re: Bold Fonts When Saving a Table to TeX

We can't simply replace "\textbf" with "\mathbf" but we are working on a fix. It should be available in the next patch.

The next patch will have it tied to the "Spreadsheets - Layout - Group spreadsheets - Include only data in sample" setting in the General Options dialog.

Re: Big trouble fetching series from CEIC

When match merging a series whether it be from an external data source such as CEIC or from another workfile page, there is the issue on how to merge 2 series which have A)different frequencies and B)different start dates for the same frequency. I will not address A) since it is discussed in our doc...

Re: File IO Failed

I would then verify all the paths and files that are being referred to in your program exist. For example, make sure C:\USERS\DHITYA\DESKTOP\2\ and D:\Thesis_Loop\2002_2\dataset\index\ exist.

Re: File IO Failed

Is it failing on the same file every time (i.e. does the error message always refer to C:\USERS\DHITYA\DESKTOP\2\2001.T.CSV.XLSX)?

Can you post the list of filenames in the C:\USERS\DHITYA\DESKTOP\2 directory?

Re: graph: error in custom date specification

By default, the Date format should be set to Automatic and not Custom. Are all your graphs experiencing the same problem or is it just this one? If it just this one, it is possible you may have changed it accidentally. In either case, I would change it back to Automatic. EViews will then use the dat...
