Re: Eviews and FAME

That’s a question for FAME.

In our experience, the application was always installed. We’ve never tried copying just the dlls.

Re: Eviews and FAME

Do you have the FAME application installed?

It is usually the case that the FAME application is installed on the same machine as EViews.

Re: graph options gridcolor in programme code yields error

We will get it fixed in the next patch. If you cannot wait till the patch is released use: gr.options gridcolor(@rgb(160,160,160)) NOTE: The @rgb() function/format is meant to supercede to old specification of 3 rgb colors. The old format will continue to be supported for legacy options such 'gridco...

Re: Problem with Import(type=raw)

I couldn't replicate the reported behavior. Using your program series 'bhus01' on pages individ and individ2 are identical where the values are 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0,1,2,3,4,5. The first thing I would do is check that your copies of EViews are up to date. Select Help->EViews Update to confirm. Assumin...

Re: chart resolution + pie charts+custom line width

There hasn't been any changes as far changing resolutions between 9 and 11. In 9 there were already some resolution settings that could be set but it is format dependent. For example, when saving to PNG you can set a custom DPI setting and the output size. Jpegs are known to be blurry due to anti-al...

Re: Minus sign disappears to Excel

Did this behavior just start happening after a patch or some other change in software? Or has this always occurred with EViews and Office 365?

Please also try pasting into the EView command window and as well as into Notepad. In both cases, do the negative signs remain or disappear?

Re: Datastream new web-services compatibility

I would contact Thomson and ask them for the syntax, but tell them you would like the syntax to fetch the series from their Excel addin.

It is my understanding that the Excel add-in uses the same engine as EViews.

Re: Spool object settings

The setzoom command will be available in the next patch.

We will look into adding an option for displaying all object windows at a custom or preset size.

Re: Logaritmic scaling in graphs - does it work?

Actually, the behavior is correct. The reason you are not seeing the log scale is because there is a zero in the data.

If you change the line

Code: Select all

series x= @trend^2
to

Code: Select all

series x= @trend^2+1
the log scale will appear.

Not sure on what you mean by changing the box size but we can certainly add a command to set the zoom level in the next patch

Re: EViews 11 crashes when using fetch to get data from FRED

mtrebing, Can you send me an email to Jason@eviews.com and refer to this thread? I'd like to have you run some tests. smr01, The FRED web servers appear to be a bit flakey. The responses from their servers are inconsistent. For the same series, we would sometimes get an 'unexpected content server' e...
