Re: Error message when graphobjects are displayed

Internally, the @-functions require special processing. While the behavior is not ideal, it is correct.

We are looking into suppressing the error, but it will more than likely remain.

Re: error in custom date specification

Assuming you are using the EViews 10 or 11 out of the box defaults, from the Graphics defaults dialog, select Templates & Objects -> Apply Template. Next select the EViews10 template and press OK. This will change the defaults for future graphs. We will look into either allowing users to change ...

Re: possible area band graph bug

The docs are currently incorrect. With the introduction of the mixed graph type, you must now select View - Graph - Mixed and then select the Mixed settings node on the left, set Unemp2_max, unemp2_min to Area Band and unemp2_mean to line.

We will get the docs updated.

We are unable to produce the reported behavior.

What is your EViews build date (select Help->About EViews)?

Is your copy up to date (select Help->EViews update)?

Re: EV11 crash when working with GeoMap

Can you post the link of the shapefile you are using or send me the file directly to jason@eviews.com? I will need the prj, shp, shx, dbf, and any other optional files.

What procedure are you using to remove the unwanted states?

Re: Date axis grid lines

The 'axis' proc refers to axis containing data. I am assuming your bottom axis is the time axis in which case you need to use the 'options' proc. If this is true, try chart_1.options gridnone but turning off all grids will also turn on the frame. So you will also have to specify the frame border set...

Re: color setting Eviews 11

The docs need to be updated but when specifying RGB colors, you need to include '@RGB()'. Changing your line to: chart1.textdefault font("Arial",8,-b,-i,-u) textcolor(@rgb(0,0,0)) fillcolor(@rgb(255,255,255)) framecolor(@rgb(255,255,255)) should fix it. Note: 'Arial' was misspelled in your...

Re: Datastream new web-services compatibility

Thomson (now Refinitiv) has created a new Datastream EDX interface which was released not too long ago. You will have to contact your Refinitiv rep to obtain the software. Once installed and registered, you should see a new Datastram entry in the Database types dropdown labeled 'Datastream Online Da...

Re: DATETIME BLOOMBERG ERROR

For which mnemonic are you getting that error? There are 3 mnemonics mentioned in http://forums.eviews.com/viewtopic.php?t=18573 : RAPTUSME, "cngdpqoq index" , and "cngdpqoq index". The latter 2 work fine. The first for me is returning "Bloomberg library error: 'Invalid secu...

Re: Datastream "logged out" everyday

Does your program start with opening the Datastream database via the 'dbopen' command? If it does not, try adding it before any fetch calls and do the below as well. If it does, as part of the options list you can add your credentials. http://www.eviews.com/help/helpintro.html#page/content/commandcm...
