Re: Rename workfile
Yes, I know I can change the name by saving. The original question was how to rename a workfile without saving. The solution given was "wfopen(wf=File1) ..." I tried that solution with WFOPEN(WF=LAG1117) \EconomicForecasts\1117\Washington\BUILD1117 and it did not open the workfile with the...

Re: Trading Day Data Format Error
Actually, Eviews has not always written the data files used in the seasonal adjustment program with dates. Eviews correctly formats the data file referenced by the series spec without dates. In the series spec in the example I gave you before, that file was : file = "C:\Users\bpbts104\AppData\e...

Trading Day Data Format Error
I created a user defined trading day variable called "Fridays." Most observations are zeroes but it also can also be a -1 or +1. When I seasonally adjust with this variable as a trading day variable I get nonsense as a result (I have a very good idea what the regression results should look...

Simple State Space Example
I am new to state space modeling. Can someone help me with a simple problem that I have seen as an application of the Kalmon filter. An object starts from a cetain psition. It is traveling in a straight line. The speed has a known expected value but there is some uncertaintly. After one unit of time...
