MAIC vs. MSAIC

Hi Eviews-team,

probably it is more a typo than a bug: in the ADF-test the command for the modified AIC is "MAIC" and not "MSAIC" as the command reference of Eviews 7 claims, isn't it?

Cheers, M.

Re: Different results after updating EViews6???

Glenn, thanks a lot for solving the problem!! :D @ all interested readers of this post: the different results were due to a problem with executing makeresid from an equation. The update from November 2, 2009 that you can find on http://www.eviews.com/download/download.html fixes the bug. Cheers

Re: Different results after updating EViews6???

Hi Glenn, that would be really nice!! :D I hope you will understand my programms - they were my first intent of working with EViews... - I send you the Excelfile with the original data: IFS_Export_G7_3Zinsen.xls - and the two programms to import the data and to create the real interest rates: 1_impo...

Different results after updating EViews6???

Hallo, about 9 month ago I wrote a programm for determining the AR(p)-process of time series (estimation of different AR(p)-specifications; then choosing the minimum lag length that is needed to remove all autocorrelation from the residuals). Now, I run the programm again - same programm, same data ...

Re: groups in a panel

Great, it works! Many thanks, Gareth!!

I think, I already said it several times, but as it is true, once again: I really appreciate the reliable help in this forum!! :D Without your aid, I suppose that I already would have despaired several times of my EViews programms

can a string variable contain quotes within quotes?

Hi again, as I want to make rolling estimations for different "subgroups" within my panel, I want to programm a loop. Therefore my string variable should support quotes within quotes (with some "hierarchical order"), what it apparently does not do. Is there any solution?? Here co...

Re: groups in a panel

Hi again, I tried it, but unfortunately it does not work (so in the meantime I worked with a pool, but I think I would be really better off with a panel structured workfile). Can you give me a hint?! I tried it also with the workfile of one of your posts ( http://forums.eviews.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&...

Re: groups in a panel

Thanks, Gareth! I already left my office, where I have my EViews-Version, so I can only try on Monday... Actually, it is the first time I use a panel workfile structure. So I guess the programming code to set the sample is similar to the time series case: sth. like smpl _usa _deu _fra ? But I will h...

groups in a panel

Dear all, for my current project I want to analyze groups of countries. As on the time series level I have much too less observations for the estimations I want to make (f.ex. rolling estimations of 5 year windows with annual data), I want to structure my workfile as a panel (by the way I have 50 co...

Re: draw a diagonal line on a graph

I was afraid of this... :( (perhaps you could implement it for the next version...?)

However, many thanks for the prompt reply! Best, mariposa

draw a diagonal line on a graph

Hi everybody, I would like to draw some diagonal lines on graphs - does someone know if this is possible? i.e. I have some scatterplots where I want to draw the 45°line and some parallels to this line. As far as I have figured out the "draw" command only places horizontal or vertical lines...
