Using both versions of Eviews on same Windows system?
Hi, I am returning to Eviews after a long gap, because it is in use at a college I teach in. At the computer I have been given to work on, both Eviews 5.0 & 6.0 are installed (we are way behind the times here!). For the time being, I have to work with either of these versions, and version 5.0 ha...

Re: Frequency Conversion
Thanks Gareth! I figured out something similar. I actually have weekly & daily data for 1 year, and I defined a dummy in the daily page for the week numbers, generated a series for the change in week number, and recoded the imported weekly series.

Re: Yet another excel-panel data question!
Thanks, Gareth! Well, I managed to get the data into this format below, which looks better:
This should be manageable from here, but I am stuck for now!
Code: Select all
Co __ Acrow Bcrox
’01 Ls 12 15
‘01 Bgs 1.07 2.3
‘01 Gfa 11.3 26
‘02 Ls 1.42 3
‘02 Bgs 12.01 22
‘02 Gfa 1.29 5
This should be manageable from here, but I am stuck for now!

Yet another excel-panel data question!
I have been using Eviews for years, but have only recently started working with large panel datasets. I am having a hard time figuring out a simple way to arrange an excel worksheet into the correct format for importing into Eviews for a panel data analysis. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Th...
