Re: E-Views crashing from object copy and paste
The update is not working for me either. I go through the process of the update and everything seems to be successful. However, when I then check again to see if an update is available, EViews continues to notify me that one is indeed available. I have done this 7 consecutive times with and without ...

This worked fine. Does this help you determine the source of my problem? Thanks.

Re: E-Views crashing from object copy and paste
"What method are you using to copy and paste? Are you using ctl+c, ctl+v or are you selecting Copy and Paste from the right mouse button menu?" I always right-click. I have tried both using "Copy" and "Object Copy." I have also tried "dragging and dropping." &...

Re: E-Views crashing from object copy and paste
I am using EViews 7.1, and it is fully updated. It is any object in any workfile being copied to any other workfile; it is not object or workfile specific. Thanks.

E-Views crashing from object copy and paste
Whenever I try to copy an object in a source file and then paste the object in a destination workfile, I receive a message that "EViews has stopped working," and that Windows is searching for a solution. Eventually EViews shuts down. Can you please let me know how to proceed? Thanks.

Re: HCCM (Heteroskedasticity Consistent Covariance Matrices)
Gareth,
That is why I asked the question. The add-in works fine for the individual cross-section workfiles, but it crashes my panel workfile every time I try to run it. I just wanted to make sure that this was not due to a problem on my end. Thanks for the prompt response.

Re: How to Correctly Structure a File for Import into E-Views
Gareth, I appreciate the prompt response. The EViews panel guide was immensely useful in helping me to learn how to get my data into panel format. I am glad that you like the nickname. I chose it for a reason: after dealing with STATA and SAS for a couple of years, I had all but given up on being ab...

How to Correctly Structure a File for Import into E-Views
I am using E-Views 7. I have an unbalanced panel of data that consists of 20 cross-sectional units (markets). Each of these markets markets contains a different number of time-series (daily) observations. These range from 31 days for the shortest market to 48 days for the longest market. I currently...
