Line graphs with lpat feature
Hi I am using EViews 11 to construct multiple line graphs. This is from FRB/US package, specifically from "ocpolicy.prg", but I have modified that program. Because I am placing multiple time series in one graph, I wanted to make some of the lines as dashed. So, I coded the following : Scre...

Re: Forecasting in EViews 11
I actually did that. I saved as "VARFORECAST_F".
However, when I searched for "VARFORECAST_F" in the workfile, I could not find it.

Forecasting in EViews 11
Hi
Is there a way to procure forecast estimates of variables in a series? Right now, I was able to see the forecasts in graphs from a VAR model with endogenous variables, but would like them to be stored in a series as a dataset. How would we do that?

Re: Error in using FRB/US supply side package in EViews 11
Than you, Steve, for the helpful explanation. It turns out that the object "saved_results", is indeed within the saved_results_new workfile.

Plot multiple series in one graph from FRB/US package in EViews 11
Hi I am making simulations from "ocpolicy.prg" in the FRB/US package. Typically, graphs look like the following : Screen Shot 2020-06-20 at 11.26.01 AM.png Screen Shot 2020-06-20 at 11.27.58 AM.png I would like to display the red lines from both the graphs and the black line in one graph o...

Error in using FRB/US supply side package in EViews 11
Hi, I am trying to run the program in FRB/US supply-side package. It contains two programs and three subroutines. To run, I did: run frbus_supply_estimation Then, to create the estimates of the states, I typed: run frbus_supply_filter It resulted in the following error: Screen Shot 2020-06-20 at 10....

Re: Adding a new variable in the FRB/US data in EViews 11
Thanks, Matt for the response. One last question:
In the line of which states:
series d_epop = epop{%sufsim} - epop
does it mean that we are differencing the actual values of "epop" from the simulated values of "epop"?

Hessian is singular at iteration 1
I am using EViews 11 to run simulations from the FRB/US model, specifically program "ocpolicy", when I encountered the following message: Screen Shot 2020-06-08 at 10.54.52 PM.png Unlike error messages, this doesn't display from which line of code the problem has arisen. So, I'm unsure how...

Adding a new variable in the FRB/US data in EViews 11
Hi I am using the FRB/US package to model simulations. The "longbase.edb" database (contained in the FRB/US dataset) has data on several macroeconomic variables. But I don't think it has data on employment-to-population ratio. I imported this data from FRED from 1975 Q1 to 2020 Q1 in the w...

Re: Error in using FRB/US model in Eviews 11
Oh, how exactly is it a Mac issue? Does it mean that I have to use a computer with a Windows OS to run the simulations without encountering this specific and related errors?

Error in using FRB/US model in Eviews 11
Hi I was running the eight program files that are in the FRB/US package using Eviews11. They are in the "programs" folder and contain the simulation commands. After a few modifications in codes, I was able to run about halfway in all those files, when I came across one strange error that i...
