Below is a sample program provided by EViews. The program could not fetch the “progdemp::hsf.” What if I have an existing workfile with current HSN1F data from FRED? I would like to use the data from the existing workfile. If I were to create the relationship y = hsn1f, and would like to create a se...

Re: BEA Database
I got a new Userid and hand typed it into the EViews box and it now works. I had copied and pasted the previous Userid.
I now see the screen similar to what you posted. I will now just need to "play" with the filter and data screens to see what I can find.
Thanks

The attached file shows what I get when I key the code supplied for the BEAPPI, using my registration.
When I selected the "preview" tab and the the "submit" tab, the attached file posted and I no longer see the attached file on the previous unedited response.

Re: recession bars
Sorry to be a bother, but the recession shading does not seem to add recession bars. Yesterday I had tried to update an older graph that had bars. I did not see any new bars for the latest recession, but thought it may be due to NBER reasons. New graph is shown on attached file and not bars are adde...

Which one is the recession bar? I had not planned to download all of the add-ins. The closest match I saw was "rec-dum".
