Re: functions of lags
Please seriously consider this request from 2014. And, while we are at it, why not allow for the lag specification outside of the function. Such as log(gdpc) (-1 to -4) Currently you would have to write this as log(gdpc(-1)) log(gdpc(-2)) log(gdpc(-3)) log(gdpc(-4)) Or maybe there is a way to write ...

Re: disable repeating code at command line
Thanks Gareth, thats what i was afraid of. I managed just fine using AREMOS for almost 20 years without the repetition. Seems to me that sending the commands to the command capture window only would suffice.
So if i may, i am requesting this option for EViews 12.
Thanks again.
Carl

Re: disable repeating code at command line
Jason, sorry for my slow response. The lines of code are typed into the command line one at a time and executed (press enter). So type one line of code and execute, then type a second line of code and execute ... each time a new line is added and executed, the command is not repeated. But if i go ba...

Re: disable repeating code at command line
Gareth,
Yes, that is exactly what I mean. In the attached iamge, I typed the first two lines in the command window and executed them one at a time. The last two lines are the repeated lines Eviews generates.
Aloha

Re: disable repeating code at command line
Shouldn't the Command Capture Option to "Send command capture to Command Capture Window Only" result in no executed commands being sent to the command window? It certainly does not work that way on my install of Eviews 11(latest version). In fact, when I execute commands in the command win...

Graph linked series shows higher frequency data
Not sure if this is a bug or a feature ;). When I aggregate monthly series to quarterly and link the series across sheets in a work file. A line graph of the quarterly linked series shows quarterly labels on the X axis, but monthly values are plotted on the Y axis. The only way I have found to force...

Re: Graphics Fill and Background color
Jason,
Do you happen to have any updates on whether a transparent fill option is being considered for Eviews 11.?
Thanks
Carl

Re: select contiguous sample with no NA
Thanks Matt. Maybe my problem was not clear. Here is what I get using the @cumnas function by itself and the @recode temp series you suggested. I am running smpl 2001m1 2002m12 series tmp1 = @cumbnas(QE_TRADE) series tmp2 = @recode(@cumbnas(QE_TRADE) > 0, na, 1) show QE_TRADE tmp1 tmp2 I shortened t...

select contiguous sample with no NA
I am running X13 on a long list of series and some of them have a year or so of data at the beginning of the sample followed by 6 months of missing followed by a complete sample of data for two decades. X13 won't run on series with embedded missing values. I originally wrote the code testing for the...

Re: disable repeating code at command line
Gareth, The reason I say it is inconsistent is because the first time I put my cursor on line 1 of the code in the command line and hit return, that line of code is not duplicated. Same goes for the second line of code. But once I have two lines of code, when I put my cursor at the first line and hi...

Re: disable repeating code at command line
I have set command capture to "Send command capture to Command Capture Window Only". I typed one line of code and ran it (hit enter/return). Then I typed the second line of code and ran it. (See screen1) Screen1.png When I move my cursor to the first line and run it again, the code is repe...

run program without opening program file
I am using Eviews 10. It would be really nice to be able to run programs from the command line and not have the program file open in a new window. I know that we can execute programs that way, but execute requires a full path. An alternative would be an option for execute that allows it to make use ...
