Re: Eviews D functions
I thought they were two different commands?
or are they the same then?
D(X)=X-X(-1) verse D(X)=Xt-Xt-1
or are they the same then?
D(X)=X-X(-1) verse D(X)=Xt-Xt-1

I have two variables RGDP and WAGES I'm supposed to generate two new series D_RGDP and D_WAGES using eviews D functions: D(X) = X-X(-1) D(X) = X(t)-X(t-1) t and t-1 are subscripts what would be the commands to do this? I get syntax error/(-1) not good when i try genr series d_rgdp = grgdp-grgdp(-1) ...

no I haven't misunderstood the HW.
The question says to only include data from those states and 1985 <

I have a set of data for each state I'm supposed to categorize: The data is from 1977-1999 VIO = violent crimes Test the hypothesis that people in the SOUTH changed their behavior as reflected in violent crimes LOG(VIO) but only AFTER 1985 to other states SOUTH = MD, VA, WV, NC, SC, GA, FL, KY, TN, ...

Hi, I'm trying to test that four variables = 0 against at least one not equaling 0 H0: b1=b2=b3=b4=0 Ha: at least on doesn't equal zero I tried several ways in eviews but I can't figure it out Where do I input the equation and once it calculates, where would I see the result? I'm assuming its an F t...

eviews output? Where is it?
I'm trying to get the p-value from my f-statistic.
I ran the command: !pval = @qfdist(.0319,3,1226) and eviews at the bottom left says !pval successfully computed
Where does the result go? I need what it computed
