Re: Self Signed certificates

Thank you for your quick reaction. We'll test as soon as we can get our hands on the updated version of Eviews 13.
Can I ask why you choose to ignore SSL errors rather than adding a command to had a path to additional certificates which seems a more secure approach ?

Self Signed certificates

Hello Eviews support and Eviews experts, Our network security does deep packet inspection and because of that the WFopen command fails because the certificate using for our security uses a self signed certificate. wfopen(type=txt) https://sdmx.oecd.org/public/rest/data/OECD.ECO.MPD,DSD_AN_HOUSE_PRIC...

Re: Frequency Conversion

Bonjour, Thank you for this post on frequency conversion. Setting them up seems very easy either with the link or copy commands. I'm looking for an instruction to extract the conversion method used from objects that already exist in a workfile. Ie: in an annual page, GDP is a link to a quarterly pag...

Re: deleting equations from a model

This feature would be very welcomed here as well. I have a problem trying to understand why some feature exist only in interactive mode. Is that so complicated to also have a command or function for each interactive feature ?

storing links results into a foreign database

Bonjour, I have a workfile page with links to other pages. I want to store into a foreign (fame) database all data from these links. So I tried store and copy commands without success : dbopen(t=fame, s=frdb_m@asap1) ADB_EOA as FAME_EOA copy fra2_YRGX fame_eoa::fra2.YRgx This gives me the following ...

Re: Creating links with foreign database

Thanks, I take from Eviews documentation that illegal names are automatically renamed : From Eviews 7 command ref.pdf, p250 notifyillegal : When in a program, report illegal EViews object names. By default, objects with illegal names are automatically renamed. (Has no effect in the command window.) ...

Reading a csv file into a table

Bonjour, I have a table of metadata stored in a csv file. I'd like to be able to import it as an Eviews table. Is there a way to achieve that using an eviews program ? It is easy to export an Eviews Table into a text file but import does not seems to exist. May be there is a more appropriate Eviews ...

FRML & scalar

Bonjour, I'd like to create a formula using some scalar but they are systematicaly replaced by their values. The followin command frml FRA_TYBA=FRA_TYB* (FRA_XALPHA* FRA_IFU3^FRA_XTYBEL +(1-FRA_XALPHA)* FRA_IFU3(-4)^FRA_XTYBEL) produces Formula: fra_tyb* (0* fra_ifu3^2.2+(1-0)* fra_ifu3(-4)^2.4) How...

Creating links with foreign database

Bonjour, I've been able to create a link for a time series from a foreign ( local Fame ) database using Eviews 6 and 7Beta graphical user interface by following these steps : - define the database in Eviews registry (dbsource -> c:\temp\eviews.db) - drag & drop series from the foreign database i...

Re: Matching a date with a series observation

Thanks.

When running your above code the following error is produced :
%s is not defined

Both with Eviews6 and Eviews7 beta.

Re: Matching a date with a series observation

Bonjour, I'm trying to use the @otod() function. Documentation says it returns a string but when I try to store the output of @otod() into an object of type alpha, I receive an error massage saying that @OTOD is not a Genr or series expression function. alpha mytext mytext = @otod(@imax(FRA_CG_ADBQ)...

User defined functions

A nice feature to add that exists in other software (fame, troll, mathematica, etc.) would be user defined functions. Subroutines may not be used into models or as part of formula (dynamic series). I'm missing this feature to port some applications to eviews. I've seen other posts in the Eviews foru...

Re: Hodrick-Prescott (HP-filter) as an endogenous entity

Bonjour,

I face the same issue. If HP-filter had an implementation as a function it would work.
In the mean time it forces me to have a program to manage it out of the model which is sub-optimal.

Arnaud.
