Re: COM library error: Class not registered (Macrobond problem!)

Problem solved. Somehow an enterprise-wide software update had pushed a 32bit Macrobond installation, which caused the 64bit Eviews and the 32bit Macrobond to not see each other. Beyond reinstalling Macrobond, Macrobond's suggestion to unregister and re-register the Addin may also have helped: https...

COM library error: Class not registered (Macrobond problem!)

Hi! I am suddenly told by Eviews that "Class is not registered" when trying to open a Macrobond database (see mb1.png). The error arose suddenly, but might have arisen as a result of a Macrobond software update. I have tried removing and adding the Macrobond database in the database regist...

When importing intraday data from Bloomberg, timestamps look off

Hi! I've currently started a project using intraday data from Bloomberg. However, I find that something seems off in the way either Bloomberg or Eviews translates intraday time stamps. Or can this be fixed via configuration on my side? Issue: - When importing financial data to Excel, I get the corre...

Problem retrieving EcoWin data

Hello! I have troubles retrieving data from EcoWin. It started a week or two ago. I am using Eviews Enterprise 7.1 Mar 15 2011 build. Intermittently, Eviews cannot obtain data for a specific series, telling me that the series is not defined. EW::EMU19001 is not defined in "SERIES X_USDEUR = EW:...

I too would like the option to draw diagonal lines. Any progress on this?

Re: Setobslabel/freeze does not work when plotting a matrix

Thanks trubador. I will try. I just wish I didn't have to engage in a battle with IT support every single time I needed something like this done :-)

Setobslabel/freeze does not work when plotting a matrix

Hello! I am having problems with getting setobslabel to work when in program mode. When running the code below I get the error that "graph must be frozen...", but the graph IS frozen. It works if I manually freeze an object and then execute the setobslabel command (by clicking the mouse bu...

Candlestick graphs not supported?

Hi! Am I right in assuming that Eviews does not support candlestick graphs and that "hilo"-graphs are the closest approximation?
Thanks
Martin

Re: EcoWin and EViews Enterprise

This is now an issue for me also. I have massive amounts of code using Eviews/Ecowin and since 10-March, nothing works. It still works for my colleagues with similar setups though. Can I do anything to resolve the issue?

Now it works :-) Let's hope it doesn't happen again.

Re: Add vertical lines & shading.

Forget my posting, I solved it. It wasn't more difficult than graph.draw.

Add vertical lines & shading.

Hi there. Through the UI I can add a vertical line for a given observation in my graphs. Say for September 2009. Can I do this programmatically as well? I know that I can copy shading and so on from a template, but this does not solve my problem as I wish to vary where the vertical line ends up base...
