Re: Support for PX-Web API databases

Is there a documentation for this language? I can't find any information about adding a new type of database.

Problem with Import(type=raw)

I have a problem with Import(type=raw) with some text files we get from our sub contractor. To show the problem I have created 2 files. First data.txt which is a shorted down version (with changed numbers) of the file we get from our sub contractor. Second is data2.txt, which is the same file, but i...

Support for PX-Web API databases

In the Open -> Database menu I would like to have support for PX-Web API databases. PX-Web databases are quite common these days, used by eg Statistics Sweden, Statistics Finland, Statistics Norway, statistics Greenland, Basque Statistics, Armenian National institute of health, and many many others....

Re: LogMsg bug?

EViews11 behavior is changed and the program that is being executed with exec command will require a LogMode command and log messages will be displayed in a new dialog as described in previous post. Why is this change implemented in Eviews 11? It feels strictly worse than the Eviews 10 behaviour. A...

Re: LogMsg bug?

The prg-files Johan showed worked up until the most recent patch, in witch this behaviour was removed. Is there a reason that it is removed?

Export to text, specific format for PX-Job

I need to be able to export my data to a text file with a specific format to use with PX-Job (a tool for creating PX-files for the PX-Web time series publishing tool made by statistics Sweden). In this short examples I have the following series: btvi101s btvi101t btvi102s btvi102t binv101s binv101t ...

Re: Eviews can't export to Excel when print titles are defined

The excel files don't end up blank. Eviews writes the data into the file, but all existing text and formatting is deleted (when that happens).

But most of the time when we do it now, we do not get this problem, but rather the second one I explained. That the settings for print titles get deleted.

Re: Eviews can't export to Excel when print titles are defined

While trying to recreate it with smaller files I do not get the total crash. Neither do we get it every time now on the regular files (it still happens sometimes though). When the regular file is not crashed we get the same result as on the files I have attached here. That is, the Print Titles are n...

Re: Eviews can't export to Excel when print titles are defined

Yes, that I know. And that is not what I asked about. The problem is that if Print Titles are activaded in the workbook (which writes the titles on top of each page), the workbook that is exported to is replaced by a blank workbook.

Eviews can't export to Excel when print titles are defined

We want to save time when exporting to Excel from Eviews. To do this we have export a long list of variables in one command. Totally almost 800 rows are exported at once. We want to have titles on top of each page. To be readable we have at most about 70 rows per page. We can not put titles on the r...

Measuring execution time

I would like to be able to measure execution time for different parts of a script, and see what parts take time. Is there a good way to do this?

Re: Using variables in Stored Procedures

I am trying to use ODBC to get data to Eviews from an SQL database, so I can continue to work on it in Eviews. The full code is enclosed below, with uid and pwd for the ODBC source changed. Mode Quiet Close @All %per = "1502" %perSQL = "20" + @Left(%per,4) %per2 = "20" ...

Using variables in Stored Procedures

I work at a governmental agency that conducts a survey once per month, and the results are stored in an SQL database. I have now started to use ODBC connection to that database, but I can not pass the info from variables to the stored procedure. Example: call BearbetningHamtaUtskick (@sPeriod='20150...
