Re: SSPACE Near_Singular

I only realised after i posted that you meant initialise the parameters, and not the state variable.

That's working now, thanks!

Re: SSPACE Near_Singular

Hi Matt, Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately even after setting the initial conditions for the state space to nairu0 = 4.5, and nairusd0 = 1 i still get a near singular matrix without much else being said. It's possible i've not set up the specification correctly, as i'm not sure what else is w...

SSPACE Near_Singular

Hello, I'm trying to specify a statespace model and estimate it. However, it keeps saying that the matrix is near singular. I'm only using two variables (P in the signal equation which is based on nairu, which is in turn based on the @state equation). Any guidance would be appreciated Using Eviews 9...

Re: stacked bar plus line graph

sorry how do you freeze it (using code) so that it's a graph object, but still stackedbars + line?

Thanks,

Re: stacked bar plus line graph

Hi, saw that you can do a stacked bar with line via the mixed option. However, the end result is still a group, instead of a graph. I want to change the barstacked options to excel type, but having trouble doing so since the object is a group Is there anyway of having the result as a graph object, i...

Hello, is this still impossible? or is there some way to do this now? (I'm using eviews 9)

Thanks,

Writing onto xlsx

Hi, I'm sure this is a simple problem, but I can't find out why it's not working. In Eviews 8, I'm trying to write to an xlsx file. I've tried various commands both using write and pagesave. The code seems to workfine, but I can't then open the xlsx file. I keep getting the following error: Excel ca...

Re: Importing Labels from xls/xlsx

great, thanks very much.

One last question though: Is it possible to import when the dates are not available? I guess you would need to specify what the dates are within the import function?

Thanks again!

Re: Importing Labels from xls/xlsx

Thanks. Is there a way to do it using the import (or read function with xlsx)? or at least reading it directly to the current workfile?

Re: Importing Labels from xls/xlsx

Hi Eviews Gareth,

Sure. So the names I would want are in row 3 of the excel file. And the data starts from row 7.
Thanks,

Importing Labels from xls/xlsx

Hello, Sorry if this has been answered already, haven't found any relevant details so far. I'm trying to import data from an xls/xlsx file using eviews7. I'm aware I can use the following command: import "path/file.xls" range="Sheet!A4:X100" However, I often get a date specificat...
